POLICE are warning householders to be vigilant after an increase in reports of theft from vehicles in Royton.
It is suspected that a signal jamming device, which stops the locking command from a remote key fob, is being used and means cars are left unsecured.
PLANNING permission for a side extension, consisting of a ground-floor car port and first-storey living/bedroom space at 51 Chetwyn Avenue, Royton, was refused on the grounds that it would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the street scene.
CAKE ’n’ Teapot, on Kingston Drive, Royton, will be open on Christmas Day from 1.30 to 5pm for anyone who is spending the festive period alone and would like to stop by for food and a chat.
LEARN glass painting, cake decorating, embroidery and small-scale weaving on a free six-week chat and craft course at Royton Town Hall.
