THE search is on for the Chadderton Prince and Princess of 2011-12. Applications are open to Year 4 children and forms are available from the library at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burley Street. The closing date is June 3.



Springbank Bowling Club, Albion Street, is holding a rock and roll night on Saturday. It is part of a programme to rejuvenate the club since a new stewardess took over.



THE second annual Chadderton Walk for Heroes takes place on June 4. People who want to take part in the sponsored walk can collect an entry form from the cafes in Coalshaw Green and Chadderton Hall parks.

FIND out more about 51 years of looking into space at the next meeting of the Chadderton Catholic Women’s League on Thursday, May 26. Fl Lt Paul Kennedy will give a talk on the subject at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, from 8pm. Entry £2 in aid of Help for Heroes.



PEOPLE can join a six-mile walk starting from the Pavilion Cafe. in Chadderton Hall Park. at 10am on Saturday mornings. It is part of the Let’s Go for a Walk scheme run by the council and NHS.



PLANNING applications have been submitted for first-floor extensions at 1193 Middleton Road and 37 Birch Avenue, and a rear extension at 6 Williams Crescent.
