NORTH Chadderton Churches Together holds its annual fun day in Chadderton Hall Park from noon to 4pm on Saturday, June 11. Attractions include inflatables, Chadderton Hall Junior School choir, scout demonstrations, puppets, children’s stories, face-painting, games and refreshments.



BAFFLED by computers? Get help at free, online basics courses at Chadderton Library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Burnley Street library also has a selection of autistic spectrum-related resources including books for adults and children and information leaflets.



RAISE concerns at a police surgery at Chadderton Hall Park from 11am to noon on Wednesday, June 1.



PLANNING applications have been submitted for a lounge extension at 44 Broomes Park and a rear extension at 43 Broomes Park. Permission is also sought for a fence at St George’s Church, Broadway.



THREE Oldham Photographic Society members will present a selection of their work at tomorrow’s meeting at The Blue Club, Victoria Street from 7.30pm.



CHADDERTON Park FC’s new mascot — Chaddy the Griffin — has been nominated to carry the Olympic torch during its tour of the UK. The club will find out if he has been accepted on August 9. The club’s under-14s team has won the Fair Play Award in the Rochdale and Oldham Sunday League.



CHILDREN can have a go at activities such as dodgeball, tennis and basketball in Coalshaw Green Park. Multi-sport sessions run from 5 to 7.30pm on Wednesdays, under-8s must be accompanied by an adult. Contact Dawn Fox on 0161-624 1444.
