Prayer morning

MILLS Hill Baptist Church holds a Celtic prayer morning from 9.30am to 10am on Mondays. An organ and keyboard club also meets at the church on the first Wednesday of every months at 8pm.

NORTH Chadderton School pupils will get all glammed up for their end of school prom at Hotel Smokies Park, on Friday.

FIND out more about the history of Manchester and Salford on July 14. Margaret Curry will take people on a visual tour of the two cities at the next meeting of the Catholic Women’s League Chadderton Section, at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, at 8pm.

ENJOY a ramble though the Streetbridge area with Chadderton Historical Society on July 7. New members welcome. Meet at the Victoria Street car park at 7.15pm to arrange transport, or Mill Brow car park at 7.30pm.

FANCY playing rounders? Adult sessions are held at the learning centre at St Herbert’s Primary School, St Herbert’s Street, from 7 to 8pm on Thursdays. There is also Zumba keep fit from 5.45 to 6.30pm on Thursdays.

Cancer Aid Network meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, from 4 to 6pm. Anyone who is affected by the disease is invited.

BAG a bargain at a jumble sale at St George’s Church, Broadway, from 2 to 3pm on Saturday. Admission 50p in aid of the Meningitis Trust.
