Holiday club

St Herbert’s Learning Centre, Edward Street, is running a half-term holiday club for four to 11-year-olds from October 24 to 28.


Activities run from 8am to 5pm and include art and craft, sport, cooking, a Wii tournament and table football. £16 per day (£8 half day with a discount for siblings) including breakfast and afternoon snack. Children must bring their own lunch. Contact 0161-633 1318 to book a place.


RAISE concerns with councillors, officers and the police at the next South Chadderton PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting.

It takes place at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, 7-9pm on Thursday, October 13.


FIND out more about coping with asthma and allergies at a free talk at South Chadderton Health Centre, Eaves Lane, on October 20.

A specialist nurse from Tameside Hospital will give the talk and demonstration from 6pm. People should take their inhalers along.



ENJOY an evening with Chadderton Historical Society at St Gabriel’s Church, Middleton, at 7.30pm on Friday. Slides will be followed by potato pie supper. Admission £5 in aid of church funds.



RESURFACING work starts on Broadway around junction 21 of the M60 on Monday. It will run for 10 nights between 9pm and 5am and over two weekends from 7am on Saturday to 3pm on Sunday. Diversion signs will be in place.



FIND out more about winter flowering plants with a demonstration by Paul Tyler from Daisy Nook Garden Centre. It takes place at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, on October 20. 8pm start, admission £2 including refreshments.
