Crafty time

PATCHWORK Parade, Russell Street, is holding a craft fair from 10am to 4pm on Saturday. Admission is free and goods include jewellery, pottery, patchwork bags and much more.
LATICS mascot Chaddy the Owl will switch on the Park Estate Christmas lights tomorrow. The fun at the Parkgate shops starts at 5.30pm and includes Father Christmas, carols by St Matthew’s Infant School, drummers, face-painting, crafts, home-made soup and hot chocolate.
RAINBOW Kabin Pre-school, Garforth Street, has been rated as good by Ofsted. Inspectors said children made good progress in their learning and development there.
Cancer Aid Network meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane. Anyone affected by cancer can go along from 4 to 6pm.
Chadderton Home Watch holds its monthly meeting at The Blue Club, Victoria Street, at 7.30pm on Tuesday, December 13.
GRAB a bargain at the Apfel Lane Community Centre Christmas fair from 1 to 4pm on Saturday. Goods include home-made cards, bring-and-buy, bric-a-brac and teddy tombola. Admission is 20p in aid of community centre funds.
Professional artist and illustrator Rikki O’Neill will be guest speaker at tomorrow’s Oldham Photographic Society meeting at 7.15 for a 7.30pm start at the Blue Club, Victoria Street.
WRAP to impress and make your presents look special this Christmas at Chadderton Library from 1 to 2pm and 2 to 3pm on Sunday.
