Chadderton Pact meeting

THE next Chadderton Pact (police and communities together) meeting takes place at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, at 7pm on February 9. People can raise concerns with their local councillors and police officers.
RADCLYFFE School is hosting an indoor athletics festival for local primary schools on February 1. The schools taking part are Bare Trees, St Luke’s, Mills Hill, Christ Church, St Anne’s Royton and Chadderton Hall.
PEOPLE can get their photograph taken with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tomorrow. The cup will be at Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, Neville Street, throughout the day ahead of the competition’s northern final second leg between Oldham and Chesterfield at Boundary Park on Monday.
The Woman of Oldham Committee kicks off its fundraising for 2012 with an evening of entertainment on February 17. The Musical Friends group will perform popular favourites, including numbers from West End shows, at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, from 7.30pm. MANCHESTER author David Gaffney will be reading from his latest collection of short stories, “The Half Life of Songs”, at Chadderton Library, Burnley Street, on February 4. The free event runs from 2 to 3pm. Contact 0161-770 5656 to book a place.
