A FIRST friends play session for babies and new mums takes place at Stanley Road Children’s Centre, Derby Street, from 10.30am to noon on Fridays.
ASDA Chadderton has applied for planning permission to allow deliveries to be made to the front entrance of the Milne Street store on Sundays for 12 months.
YOUNGSTERS aged eight to 16 can get specialist hockey coaching at Bare Trees synthetic pitch, Holly Grove, 6-7pm on Mondays. Sessions cost £1.35, shin pads are essential.
NORTH Chadderton High School A-level history pupils Lily Newton and Daniel Shaw took part in the Manchester heat of the Historical Association’s Great Debate competition at Manchester Metropolitan University. Daniel spoke about 9/11 and Lily gave a speech on the Battle of the Somme, but they did not make it through to the next round.
CHADDY End FC’s annual six-a-side tournament takes place at Our Lady’s High School, Higher Blackley, on July 7, 8, 14 and 15. Entry is £35 a team. Visit wwwchaddyend.co. uk for details.
