CARING, honest and reliable Chadderton volunteers who can spare a couple of hours a week are needed for a Friends and Neighbours scheme
It aims to provide friendship and opportunities to get out for the over 50s who are lonely or isolated. For information contact Sue Scott on 0161-770 1437. No experience is necessary and training is provided.

GET you brain in gear. The Friends of Mills Hill Primary School is holding a curry and quiz night on Friday. Tickets cost £5 from the school office. Maximum of six people per team, bring you own drink.
INTRODUCE your tot to Chadderton Library, Burnley Street, with stories, rhymes, songs and games. The next Baby Day session runs from 10am to noon on Friday. Free entry.
OLDHAM Photographic Society holds its annual awards evening at The Blue Club, Victoria Street, on Thursday, April 26. 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.

ST Mark’s Church, Mile Street, raised £1,486 for Christian Aid from its lent offerings. It is also holding its pastoral feast from 7.30pm on Sunday, April 29.
