Street party

PUPILS at Radclyffe School are hosting a jubilee street party today for 60 elderly members of the community.
It has been organised by the Year 8 council and will include a quiz, a singalong, sandwiches and scones. The schools also holds its annual celebration evening tomorrow.
PLAYERS from Chaddy Park FC under 12s Eagles attended the Paralympic World Cup final between Brazil and GBR at the Manchester Regional Arena.
GOT a problem? Oldham West and Royton MP Michael Meacher is holding a surgery at Chadderton Court, Middleton Road, from 5 to 6.30pm on June 8.
CHADDERTON Library, Burnley Street, will celebrate National Bookstart Week with songs, rhymes, stories and crafts for children on June 12, from 2 to 3pm.
Parents and carers of babies up to 18 months can also get together at the library from 2 to 3pm on Mondays to enjoy songs, stories, rhymes, sensory play and musical instruments.
NORTH Chadderton School pupils will party at their school prom at Hotel Smokies Park on June 22.
THE latest items donated to Chadderton Historical Society include three postcards from around 1910 and a photograph of a wedding party outside Chadderton Hall in 1914.
