CHADDERTON teacher Paul McEvoy kept the Olympic flame burning as he carried the iconic torch through Formby.
Paul, who works at the Oasis Academy, is one of 8,000 nominated bearers helping the torch make its journey through 1,019 communities in the UK, the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey.
On June 24, the torch will pass through Oldham town centre as part of its 7,625-mile journey.
