ST Herbert’s Learning Centre, Edward Street, has a range of activities for people of all ages this summer term.
They include netball for adults, a choir, basic sign language classes, chess for seven to 11-year-olds and Strictly Come Dancing for adults (no partner needed). For full details contact 0161-633 1318.
THE Rifle Range Pub, Burnley Lane, is holding a charity day in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, Royton, from 1pm on Sunday. The entertainment includes live artists, raffles, sponsored events, face-painting, stalls and a custard bath.
MEMBERS of Chadderton Historical Society will visit the Titanic Museum, Colne, tomorrow. The museum has been created by naval enthusiast Nigel Hampson and includes models, photographs and film. Meet at Victoria Street car park at 6.45pm to arrange transport.
MAKE all the right moves with Oldham Chess Club. It meets at The Blue Club, Victoria Street, at 7.30pm on Mondays.
McDONALD’S staff joined forces with Oldham Council’s environmental services and Chadderton District Partnership for a clean up at Crossley Playing Fields.
MP Michael Meacher is holding a surgery at Chadderton Court, Middleton Road, from 5 to 6.30pm on Friday. People can also raise concerns at a police surgery at Asda Chadderton, 10am to 3pm on Thursdays.
Chadderton Floral Art Society meets at the Over Sixties Club, Broadway, at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of the month. Admission £4.
First Choice Homes Oldham is holding a housing surgery at 1 Penzance Way, Parkway, from 10am to noon on Tuesday.
