School summer holiday club

BEAT boredom while school is out with the summer holiday club for four to 11-year-olds at St Herbert’s Learning Centre, Edward Street.
Mondays are games days with art and crafts on Tuesdays, cookery on Wednesdays, sport on Thursday and relaxing activities on Fridays.
A full day (8am to 5pm) costs £16, £30 for two children, with half-day charges £8 and £15 respectively. For information contact 0161-633 1318.
THE £30million Newman College on Broadway opens its doors in September. And to help discover more about the two schools it has replaced, a special trip down memory lane has been organised. Memorabilia going back through the ages will be on display at St Augustine, Werneth, on Saturday, and at Our Lady’s, Royton, a week later, both 11am to 2pm.
RADCLYFFE School pupils are staging the musical “Beauty and the Beast” on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week. Tickets are available from the school and start at £2.
