It’s Chaddy Day

THE annual Chadderton Day takes place in Foxdenton Park from noon to 4pm on Saturday.
It will be opened by Oldham’s mayor Councillor Olwen Chadderton and her consort, husband Roy, who will also crown the new Chadderton prince and princess.
A mini-Olympics for local pupils takes place in the park on the same day from 10am.
PEOPLE can share their memories of Chadderton Hall Junior School before it merges with St Matthew’s Infant School in September. Former pupils, parents and staff can bring in photographs and sign a memory book at the Chadderton Hall Road school from 3-5pm on Monday and 2-4pm on Tuesday.
YEAR 8 pupils at Radclyffe School are finding out more about the people who help out in their local community. Activities are running throughout today to highlight the impact of their work.
RAISE concerns at a police and Housing 21 surgery at The Pavilion, Coalshaw Green Park, from 1-2pm on Wednesday, July 18.
CANCER Aid Network meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, from 4-6pm. It is an opportunity for people who are affected by cancer to meet others.
RADCLYFFE Athletic Centre, Hunt Lane, holds an extreme circuit workout from 8pm-8.45pm on Thursdays. Sessions costs £4.10, free for OCL members.
CHADDERTON Kids Club at St Matthew's school has been rated as “good” by the education watchdog Ofsted. Its report stated that children have fun and make good progress at the club which is open before and after school, and during the holidays.
