THE Patient Participation Group at Dr Sharma’s surgery, Eaves Lane, raised £300 from a coffee morning, book sale and raffle. It will be split between Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and Macmillan.

HAVE a quacking time in aid of charity. Dr Kershaw’s Hospice holds its annual duck race in Chadderton Hall Park on Saturday. The event starts at 1pm and entry is £1 per duck, with a selection of prizes up for grabs.
CHADDY Park FC is taking on a team from BBC high-school drama “Waterloo Road” in aid of Help for Heroes on Saturday, September 1. The charity match kicks off at 2pm at Chadderton Fold, Kiln Hill Lane. Admission £2, children £1.
FUND out more about using Photoshop with Oldham Photographic Society. It is holding summer school sessions on the topic at its next two Thursday meetings on August 23 and 30. New members are welcome at The Blue Club, Victoria Street from 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.
