ROUNDERS teams of up to a dozen can take on Greater Manchester Police and the council’s Chadderton district team on Friday, August 31, at Hollinwood Rugby Club, Fields New Road, Chadderton.

YEAR 9 Oasis Academy Oldham pupil Jessica Banks has won a competition to design an Olympic-inspired mascot for the school.

REV Jean Hurlston, from Oldham’s town centre chapilancy will be guest speaker at the next Chadderton Home Watch meeting on Tuesday, September 11. She will talk about the Street Angels scheme which looks after the welfare of revellers in the town centre. All are welcome at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, at 7.30pm.


CHADDY Park FC is taking on a team from the TV series “Waterloo Road” in aid of Help for Heroes on Saturday, September 1. The charity match kicks off at 2pm at Chadderton Fold, Kiln Hill Lane. Admission is £2 adults and £1 for children.
