HISTORIC: Chadderton Town Hall
OLDHAMERS will be able to take a tour of Chadderton Town Hall to celebrate its centenary.
To mark the milestone, Oldham Council is opening the historic building to the public on September 9 (1pm-5pm), so residents can take a look round and get a taste of the building’s history.
Town Hall staff — and members of the local historical society — have prepared stalls and information boards to tell the story of the local landmark.
A traditional sweet shop will sell confectionery, and Oldham Family History Society will be ther to give advice to local family tree researchers.
The Chadderton War Memorial will also be unveiled by the local British Legion on the day, after its recent restoration.
