THE learning centre at St Herbert’s Primary School, Edward Street, is running a range of evening community activities this term.

On Tuesdays there is netball for adults (beginners and improvers, £2.50) and a choir for adults (all abilities, £4.)

Basic sign language awareness (£4) takes place on Wednesdays along with chess for seven to 11-year-olds (£1.50) and Strictly Come Dancing for adults (£4).

Thursdays play host to street dance for four to 11-year-olds (£3), an art group for the same age group (£1) and zumba for adults (£3.50). For more information call 0161-633 1318.



Park Estate Tenants and Residents’ Association is on the look-out for new members.

The organisation holds a range of exciting events such as fun days and holiday clubs as well as Christmas, Easter and Eid celebrations.

Find out more at the next meeting of the association which takes place at 1 Penzance Place, Parkway, from 7pm on Wednesday, September 19.



A DRESSMAKING club meets at St Matthew’s Church, Chadderton Hall Road, at 9.30am on Thursdays.

ANYONE who requires a bit of help to get online should check out Chadderton Library at the Wellbeing Centre on Burnley Street.

It hosts a free computer session for beginners from 1 to 2.30pm on Mondays and again from 10 to 11.30am on Thursdays.



DOUBLE yellow lines will be introduced shortly at the junction of Denton Lane and Grampian Street, it has been announced.
