THE annual pie and crumble sale takes place at St Matthew’s Church, Chadderton Hall Road, after the 8.30am and 10.30am services on Sunday, October 21.
Proceeds in aid of church funds. A drop-in social club also meets at the church at 2pm on Tuesdays.
Inspector John Morris will be the guest speaker at the Chadderton Home Watch meeting at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street on Tuesday from 7.30pm. All welcome.
WANT to get back into netball or give it a go for the first time? The learning centre at St Herbert’s Primary School, Edward Street, runs sessions for adults (beginners and improvers) on Tuesdays. For information contact 0161633 1318.
CHADDERTON Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, has a youth-only zone for 11 to 14-year-olds from 6.30 to 8.30pm on Fridays. Activities include fitness circuits, boxercise and yoga. £1 per hour.
OLDHAM Table Tennis Club plays at Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane, from 6 to 8pm on Fridays. New members are welcome from aged seven and upwards. Contact 0161-621 3320.
DRIVERS face overnight restrictions on the A663 Broadway from Wednesday, October 17 for a fortnight for resurfacing work. Southbound traffic will not be able to turn right into Jardine Way and there will be no northbound left turn into Whitegate Lane.
A reading group meets at Chadderton Library, Burnley Street, 2 to 3pm, on the second Wednesday of the month.
NORTH Chadderton School, Chadderton Hall Road, holds its open evening from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday next week.
