Holiday club

ST Herbert’s Learning Centre, Edward Street, is running a half-term holiday club for nursery to Year 6 pupils from October 29 to November 2.

It costs £16 for 8am to 5pm (bring you own packed lunch) and £8 for a half-day session, with a discount for siblings.

The club finishes with a Hallowe’en party on November 2. The centre’s netball for adults session have changed time to 6 to 7pm on Tuesdays. For information contact 0161-633 1318 for more details.



THE Autumn Group, which supports families caring for children and adults with autism, is holding a Hallowe’en Spooktacular disco night for carers and parents on November 3. It takes place at Nimble Nook Social Club and includes hot food and prizes for the best fancy dress. For details contact 07581-103771.

GUIDES meet at St Matthew’s School Hall, Edward Street, from 7.30 to 8.30pm on Mondays. There is also a junior choir at St Matthew’s Church, Chadderton Hall Road, from 7 to 8pm on Thursdays.


OLDHAM Photographic Society holds its quarterly competition at The Blue Club, Victoria Street, on October 18, 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.
