Longevity tip from Annie

A LOVE of people is the secret to longevity — and Annie Howard should know: she reached her 100th birthday today.

Annie, who still lives in the Chadderton home in Foxdenton Lane where she brought up her family, is celebrating with a family meal.

Born in Stretford and with five brothers, Annie married and moved to Chadderton when she was 28. She ahd her husband had four children.

Dozens of her friends gathered at the Over 60s Centre, Broadway, for a Friendship Club celebration with cake, flowers and a choir singing carols.
