A NEW group is being set up for residents and organisations in Chadderton, Hollinwood and Failsworth who want to grow their own food.
Activities could include applying for funding for tools, buying seed in bulk, developing spare land, keeping bees and chickens, maintaining community flower beds and school gardening projects.

FIREfighters will be demonstrating the dangers of chip pans at Asda Chadderton at 11am and 2pm on Wednesday, February 20. The event is part of a tour of local supermarkets by the kitchen fire safety unit at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service during national chip week.
