Zumbathon

ST Matthew’s Playgroup is holding a zumbathon from 1.30 to 3.30pm on Sunday.

It has been organised by the playgroup committee, which is raising money for equipment and new premises. The event takes place at St Herbert’s parish centre, Broadway. Entry is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and £10 for a family of four.

OLDHAM Photographic Society holds its annual presentation evening tomorrow. It meets at the Blue Club, Victoria Street, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

A REUNION is being held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the former Foxdenton school and integrated nursery. It runs from 2 to 4pm at Kingfisher School, Foxdenton Lane, on May 11. OPPONENTS of the proposed business and housing development on 49 acres of green land at Foxdenton hold their next meeting on Monday. People will be able to quiz three local councillors at the event, which starts at Nimble Nook Social Club at 7pm.
