Party in the park

CHADDERTON Churches Together is holding its party in the park from 3 to 5pm on Sunday.

The family fun day in Chadderton Hall Park includes music by Manchester Sing Out Choir.

CRAFTY people can get inspired and raise money for Christie Hospital on Saturday. Patchwork Parade, Q House, Russell Street, is holding a charity day from 10am to 3pm. Admission is £1, with 20 per cent of shop sales donated to the hospital.

GOT a problem? A police surgery takes place for people in central Chadderton from 5pm on Friday at Mills Hill School, Baytree Avenue.

CHADDERTON Pub and Club Watch holds its next meeting at Chadderton Bowling and Cricket Club, Lancaster Street, from 10am to 11am on June 4.

MEMBERS of Chadderton Historical Society will be finding out more about the Co-op on a visit to the recently-refurbished Rochdale Pioneer Museum on June 6. It includes a recreation of a Co-op store. Meet at the Victoria Street car park at 7pm to arrange transport.

TAKE part in a community litter pick on June 8. Meet at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane at 10am.

GET together and celebrate the annual Chadderton Day from noon to 4pm on July 13. It takes place in Foxdenton Park and includes the crowning of the new Chadderton prince and princess.
