THE Friends of Dementia group is planning to hold monthly coffee mornings at Asda Chadderton and Chadderton Wellbeing Centre for sufferers, their carers and friends and family. For information contact Christine Dennis on 0161-284 2275.
YEAR 6 pupils will spend a day at North Chadderton School on Wednesday, July 3 before they start at their new secondary in September. Fire-fighters from Chadderton also enjoyed lunch at the school with members of the student council.
a sponsored walk along the Rochdale Canal, from Manchester to Foxdenton on Saturday, July 13, is being organised by Councillor Colin McLaren. An environmental scientist will be carrying out a wildlife survey at the same time and the Park Estate Photography Club will be recording the event. FAMILY history sessions could be added to the range of activities run by Firwood and District Residents’ Association.
