Macmillan boost

A COFFEE morning at Chadderton Reform Club, Middleton Road, organised by Andrea Colley and Louise Bridges raised £523 for Macmillan.
Pupils at St Matthew’s Primary School, Chadderton Hall Road, also raised £305 for Macmillan from their coffee morning.

THE Inner Wheel Club of Chadderton and Failsworth holds its 50th anniversary charter dinner at Manchester Golf Club, Middleton, on Tuesday. The club has raised approximately £100,000 over its half century, as well as volunteering for community projects.
CHADDERTON South residents can raise any concerns with their councillors at a ward surgery on Saturday. They will be at St George’s over 60s Club, St George’s Square, from 10am to 11am.
SCHOOLS and workplaces are being urged to put their best foot forward and take part in the Socktober appeal in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, Royton. People are being asked to go to school or work in a pair of funky socks — the wackier the better — on one day in October and donate £1 to the appeal.
