CHADDERTON is set to sparkle on Friday when Chadderton Prince and Princess Harry Wall and Heidi O’Keeffe turn on the Christmas lights.
They will be joined by Father Christmas and mascot Chaddy the Griffin for the event outside the town hall on Middleton Road at 6.30pm.
There will also be a Christmas market in the precinct from noon.
NORTH Chadderton School holds its Year 11 leavers’ awards evening on Friday.
CHADDERTON Park sports club has launched a new karate section. Lessons take place every Tuesday at Heywood Martial Arts Academy, Bradshaw Street, Heywood at £7pm. All ages are welcome.
FIND out more about medieval Middleton with Chadderton Historical Society. Guest speaker Geoff Willins will look at the history of the neighbouring town from AD 800 to 1500 at the group’s monthly meeting at Chadderton FC, Andrew Street, at 7.30pm on Thursday, December 5.
