SPORTS photographer George Franks will be guest speaker at tomorrow’s Oldham Photographic Society meeting at the Blue Club, Victoria Street, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

FAMILIES can take part in the free Xplorer navigational challenge in Chadderton Hall Park from 1 to 3pm on Saturday, September 13. Use a simple map of the park to track down points and write down the name of a secret animal or colour.
CHADDERTON Historical Society will visit Saddleworth Museum tomorrow. New members welcome, meet at the Victoria Street car park at 7pm to arrange transport.
A PLANNING application has been submitted to turn the former Yew Tree Residential Home, Sycamore Street, into a shared house. Permission is also sought to rebuild existing stables at Park View, Chadderton Fold; a single-storey rear extension at 5 Kiln Hill Close; and a shed at 81 Chadderton Park Road.
