A COFFEE morning at Newman College, Broadway, raised £104 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
PLANT a winter hanging basket or decorative container at a workshop at Chadderton Hall Park garden centre, from 3.30 to 5.30pm on Monday, October 20. No need to book. More information is available from 0161-770 5021
NORTH Chadderton School, Chadderton Hall Road, is holding a Year 9 parents information evening tomorrow, from 6 to 8pm Parents can sign in from 5.30pm. Collective Spirit Free School, in Butterworth Lane, is also holding an open evening from 6 to 8pm tomorrow. It includes a tour of the school at 7pm.
RADCLYFFE School pupils found out more about trade unionism from Christine Blower, general secretary of the National Union of Teachers. The event was part of the Speakers for Schools initiative.
FORMER England and Arsenal footballer Ray Parlour is the guest speaker at Broadway Celtic FC’s sportsman’s dinner on Friday. It takes place at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, tickets from John Foster on 07726-367534.
LANCASTER Park and Animal Farm, Middleton Road West, is being transformed into a Hallowe’en Farm of Horror until November 2.
CHILDREN aged from six to 12 can take part in a half-term kids camp at Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane. It runs from Monday, October 27, to Friday, October 31, from 8am to 5.30pm, and costs £10 a day. Places are limited. To book contact 0161-207 7000
