LOOKING for festive gift ideas? Chadderton Christmas market runs from noon to 6.30pm on Friday in Chadderton precinct and will include music by local schools and visits by princesses, elves and Father Christmas.

OLDHAM Photographic Society holds its Christmas party and buffet at The Blue Club, Victoria Street on Thursday, December 18, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
NEWMAN College, Broadway, holds its Christmas show at 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 17. Tickets are limited and cost £4 (£2,50 concessions) from school reception on 0161-785 8858.
