Half-term fun

CIRCUS skills, arts and crafts and games are just some of the free activities taking place for children in Chadderton Hall Park during half-term.
They have been funded by Chadderton District Partnership and run from 1 to 3pm on Friday, February 20. Under eights must be supervised by an adult.
THE RSPCA is opening a new charity shop at 513 to 525 Middleton Road on Saturday.
TALENTED cooks from 12 schools go head to head in the Rotary Club Young Chef district final at Radclyffe School, Hunt Lane, today. They will have to prepare a three-course meal with a budget of just £15 for ingredients.
PATCHWORK Parade is holding its third annual patchwork, quilting and craft fair at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on March 28. For details contact the shop at Q House, Russell Street on 0161-633 5900.
JULIAN Guerriero from Oldham Drug and Alcohol Action Team will be the guest speaker at the next Chadderton HomeWatch meeting. It takes place at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 10.
PEOPLE are being warned to make sure their sheds, garages and outbuildings are secure after a spate of burglaries on the Fold Green estate.
HELP keep Chadderton clean by taking part in a community litterpick on March 21. Volunteers can meet at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, at 9.45am.
NEWMAN College, Broadway, holds a Year 9 parents evening from 4.30 to 7.30pm tonight.
