Buffet fundraiser

Chadderton Together is holding a buffet at Chadderton Bar and Grill, Middleton Road, from 5 to 9.30pm on Monday, April 18, to raise money for the Foxdenton Hall restoration fund.

Tickets cost £10, families welcome.


THE Millennium Gospel Choir, from Bolton, performs at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, at 7pm on Friday, April 22. St Matthew’s School Choir will also be performing a song which has been specially written for them. The suggested donation for tickets is £5, under 16s free, from Jennie Gilpin on 0161-688 9922.


THE RSPCA is holding a drop-in mobile clinic at the Ancora Car Park, Broadway, from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 20. People on benefits/low income can receive low-cost health checks, vaccinations, worm/flea treatments and microchipping for their pets. A FOUR-COURSE meal, entertainment and fashion show will be on offer at a ladies evening at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, on May 13, organised by the Friends of Friends of St Herbert’s School. Tickets are available from the school on 0161- 633 1318.

Modern jive classes take place at Chadderton Town Hall, Middleton Road, on Tuesdays. Beginners sessions run from 7.30 to 8.20pm, intermediate from 8.55 to 9.30pm and social dancing until 10.30pm. Entry £7.
