Crossbank House incident - two arrested then released under investigation

Two men – aged 35 and 27 – were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault after a man was discovered with serious head injuries last Thursday morning at the Crossbank House block of flats in Oldham.
The pair have been released under investigation.
On Thursday afternoon, a statement from Greater Manchester Police read: "At around 3am on Thursday 6 September 2018, police were made aware by hospital staff that a man in his 40s had suffered serious head injuries.
"Following enquiries it was established that the man was discovered in the foyer of a block of flats off Manchester Street in Oldham."
The victim is in now said to be in a stable condition.
