Icy conditions on Oldham's roads
Ice and snow has caused disruption on our region’s roads, this morning.
Another night of freezing temperatures has seen snow in higher parts of Oldham, while black ice has been causing dangerous driving conditions.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice – with further wintry showers at times.
Rain, sleet and snow falling across the region has caused wet surfaces, which were then frozen in temperatures that dropped well below zero.
The Met Office is warning roads, pavements and cycle paths will be slippy.
They are now warning people to expect ice on surfaces and are urging them to take care when out and about.
There could be further hail, sleet and snow showers across Oldham today.
The Met Office is predicting several centimetres likely in higher places.
Temperatures will peak at around 3C later today - though there will be lows of -1C overnight.
