Primary School joins The Pinnacle Learning Trust
An Oldham Primary School is celebrating having formally joined local multi-academy trust, The Pinnacle Learning Trust.
Werneth Primary School will now be supported by the trust and will receive support to improve the outcomes for pupils at the school.
The move has taken place as part of the process of former sponsor Bright Tribe Trust relinquishing its academies.
All parties involved with Werneth’s move to Pinnacle are pleased to see the school within a local MAT, whose outcomes across its existing academies are excellent.
Parents at Werneth Primary are keen to see their children progress to Hathershaw and those involved with the Trust are keen to work together to support improvements for all pupils, working within the MAT and also with the Advantage Teaching School Alliance, which is also part of the Pinnacle MAT ‘family’.
The Pinnacle Learning Trust was established in order to enable staff and students from all phases of education work together to achieve excellence for young people in Oldham. The addition of a primary school to the Trust will provide additional opportunities for everyone involved to provide support and help further build on the many strengths of the individual academies.
Conrad North, Principal at Werneth Primary School said, “All of the staff are looking forward to working with Pinnacle Learning Trust. It is a very exciting time, one which we can make a really positive difference to the life chances of our children. As a whole staff and community we are looking forward to being part of PLT.”
Jayne Clarke, Executive Principal of the Pinnacle Learning Trust, said, “We’re delighted to have Werneth Primary School join the Trust. It has always been our aim that Pinnacle should cover all phases of education, and we look forward to working together to ensure great experiences, support and outcomes for all our students.”
