Revolution 96.2 sees huge rise in audience

More than 7000 extra listeners have been tuning in to Revolution 96.2 every single week in the last three months of 2018.
According to industry body Rajar - which surveys listening figures of radio stations throughout the UK - Revolution has increased it's audience reach by 44%
"It's thrilling to know that the people of Oldham have taken Revolution 96.2 and our new breakfast show to their hearts in such large numbers", Managing Director of owners Credible Media said.
The station also saw a massive 72% reach in listening hours which measures the amount of time people spend listening to the output.
Kevin Bailey, Content Director at Revolution said it was a huge jump in audience "This represents the best figures for the station in 5 years. We've spent a lot of time responding to the demands of our audience, and focussing the music policy to deliver the songs that Oldhamers love."
There are now 23,000 weekly listeners to the station, and a further 21,000 following their social media channels.
Rajar's figures show that 88% of people tune into their selected radio station every week, spending an average of almost 21 hours listening to the radio.
Revolution is owned and operated by Credible Media, owner of the Oldham Evening Chronicle.
