Police charge man over hit and run

Police were called to reports of an assault that took place in a taxi queue
46-year old Jackson Ray Bogart, of Ladbrooke Road in Ashton has been charged with grievous bodily harm and theft.
He has been remanded to appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates' Court this morning (Monday 18th February).
Shortly after 7.20am on Friday when police were called to reports of a serious collision on Nook Lane.
Emergency services attended and a 63-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries.
He remains in a critical condition.
Following the collision the car left the scene but was later found abandoned.
A 45-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released with no further action.
