Man’s body found in taxi on Saddleworth Moor

Police and ambulances attended and a man was taken to hospital with head injuries
Officers were called to Holmfirth Road, near to Dovestone Reservoir, at around 9.08am following reports of concern for a man in a parked car.
When emergency services arrived, they discovered the body in the black cab and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The identity of the individual hasn’t been released at this stage, but they don’t believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Investigations have been launched into the man’s death with the area taped off on Friday although that cordon has since been removed.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at 9.08am to report of a concern for safety for a male in a parked car on the A635 Holmfirth Road, near Saddleworth Moor.
"The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances but the matter is not believed to be suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
