Pedestrian left with head injuries after Saddleworth crash

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed to the Oldham Evening Chronicle they were called at around 10.20pm to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on High Street in Uppermill.
It’s understood the incident happened near The Commercial pub.
The pedestrian suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital although the injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
High Street was closed while emergency services attended the scene but it reopened a short time later.
In a statement to the Oldham Evening Chronicle a police spokesman said: “we were called at around 10:20pm to High Street to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.”
“The pedestrian suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
“His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
