Two Oldham bouncers among seven charged after nightclub fight

In all seven men have been charged with affray in connection with the incident outside the Factory 251 nightclub.

The men, believed to have been bouncers at the time of the incident, each face one count of affray while two have also been charged with grievous bodily harm.

They include 40-year old Imran Ilya, of Gainsborough Avenue in Oldham, Amjad Yasin, 37-year old, Latimer Street in Oldham and 20-year old Gareth Carr, of Denbigh Road, Denton.

Yasin and Carr are the two who have also been charged with a section 20 assault.

It’s all in connection with an incident at around 3.20am on Sunday 2nd December when police were called to reports that a man had been assaulted outside Factory 251 nightclub on Princess Street.

St Helen’s academy player Joe Sharratt, 18, suffered serious head injury as a result of the incident, he was rushed to hospital but Police have said he is now recovering at home.
