UK Prime Minister Theresa May
The Prime Minister address the country from 10 Downing Street last night (Wednesday 20th March) claiming she was on the side of the public and understand the frustration people are feeling about the whole Brexit process.
She said: “Of this I am absolutely sure. You, the public, have had enough.
"You are tired of the infighting, tired of the political games and the arcane procedural rows, tired of MPs talking about nothing else but Brexit when you have real concerns about our children's schools, our National Health Service, knife crime.
"You want this stage of the Brexit process to be over and done with. I agree. I am on your side."
But her statement has been rejected by a whole host of MPs including Shadow Education Secretary Angela Raynor, who represents Ashton, Droylsden and Failsworth, who claimed it was nothing more than a “non-entity statement from a fading PM”.
Non-entity statement tonight from a fading PM,blaming everybody except herself, her inept&incompetent leadership lingers on. This lame duck PM delivering a lame duck speech, not a modicum of self awareness of the damage she is causing, it really is time for this useless PM to go!

Oldham West and Royton’s Member of Parliament, Jim McMahon added: “For May to come out now and refuse to take any responsibility or concede the need to unite and compromise, but instead further divide is the gutter of politics.”
MPs have faced years of abuse, threats and blame when the delays and frustrations have been at the door of the PM.

Theresa May is in Brussels today (Thursday 21st March) in a bid to get EU members to agree to an extension of Article 50 until the 30th of June, however the Prime Minister has rubbished suggestions it could be extended further than that.
Oldham East and Saddleworth’s MP, Debbie Abrahams, turned her guns on the Prime Minister following her statement in Downing Street claiming Theresa May “has done everything she can to thwart Parliament reaching a consensus.”
I really object to the Prime Minister suggesting MPs are the problem & can't make up their/our mind. Govt controls the business we can debate/vote on. With her intransigence, her red lines she has done everything she can to thwart Parliament reaching a consensus #EnoughIsEnough

The Prime Minister is due to meeting EU leaders this afternoon to make her appeal to extend Article 50 then the leaders of the 27-member countries will decide if they’re going to allow it to happen in a meeting which Theresa May won’t be allowed to attend.
