Firefighters were called at around 1:25pm to a series of moorland fires across Saddleworth and Oldham.
The fire has covered the area near Saddleworth golf club on Ladcastle Road and on the hills in between Wall Hill Road and Delph New Road. It is climbing up towards Platt Lane and Gatehead Road.
Manchester Fire and Rescue Service sent engines from Mossley, Stalybridge and Oldham that are in attendance with GMP (Greater Manchester Police). The cause of the fire is still unknown.
