Collision in Oldham leaves teenager with serious injuries

Police have confirmed they’ve now launched an investigation into the incident which happened on Salt Street, at the junction of Glebe Street in Shaw, where a motorcyclist was hit.
It was shortly after 8.40pm when a black Kawasaki KMX 125 was travelling along Salts Street when it collided with a grey Honda CRV at the roundabout.
Due to the collision, the motorcyclist – a 17-year-old boy – lost control of the bike and further collided with a garden wall.
He remains in hospital where he is undergoing surgery for serious injuries.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Investigators are appealing for any information and want to speak to anyone who saw the incident take place or saw either vehicle in the area before the collision.
