Armed police storm house in Oldham in search of weapon

Police were called to reports of someone threatening to shoot somebody on Tuesday night
Armed police have stormed a house in Oldham in an attempt to find the person who was understood to have been threatening to shoot somebody on Tuesday night (30th April).
It was at around 9pm when officers went to Brewerton Road, near the junction with Lees Road, and began searching a property.
A short time later it was confirmed that the search was over and no weapon had been found.
A 60-year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of malicious communication, he’s been questioned by police.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “We were called shortly before 9pm to Brewerton Road in Oldham to reports of a man making threats to shoot somebody.
"We have attended and searched the property. We have not found a firearm. Somebody has been arrested."
