Man charged with murder after fight outside Failsworth pub

21-year old Momodou Jallow of Ashley Lane in Moston was previously charged with Section 18 assault, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article.
He has now been charged with murder of 24-year-old Joe O’Brien from Blackley.
He appeared via video link at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 9th May) and will appear at crown court in Manchester tomorrow (Friday 10th May).
The charge relates to a fight police were called to on Oldham Road at around 3am on Sunday 21 April 2019.
Joe O’Brien sadly died after being stabbed.
Another man who was 21 at the time of the incident, was also stabbed.
