Police appeal for witnesses after crash in Middleton

Police were called to reports of a collision on Manchester New Road in Middleton on Tuesday (28th May) at around 4:30pm.
The collision involved a red Toyota Yaris and black Yamaha 125 Sports motorbike.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the motorbike- a man in his 20’s- was taken to hospital with serious injuries, he remains in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Police Constable Philip Shaw, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are very much first and foremost with those involved in the collision and the man who is seriously injured in hospital.
I would like to take this opportunity to stress just how keen we are for witnesses to come forward. Did you see either vehicle at around the time of the incident? Or, do you have dash cam footage that you think could assist our enquiries? – If so, please get in touch at the earliest opportunity.”
