Investigation launched after man found in Oldham with serious injuries

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after a man was found with serious injuries in Oldham during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 5th June).

It was shortly before 1am when officers were called by North West Ambulance Service to Moorhey Street following reports of a man with serious injuries.

Emergency services attended and the man in his 40s was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Julie Howell, of Greater Manchester Police’s Oldham District, said: “We have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and determine what caused the man’s injuries.

The man was found on Moorhey Street in Oldham

“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything that could assist our investigation then please get in touch with police as soon as you can.

“If you have any information, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem, then we want to hear from you.”
