Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the man who was found seriously injured in an Oldham street had been stabbed.

It was shortly before 1am on Wednesday morning (5th June) when officers were called by North West Ambulance Service to Moorhey Street following reports that a man had been found with serious injuries.

When emergency services arrived they found the man, believed to be in his 40s, and rushed him to hospital for treatment.

At the time detectives had appealed for information as they tried to explain what happened to the man, however they now think he had been attacked by two men.

It’s understood he’d been stabbed twice.
