Heywood woman accused of racial abuse has had case dismissed

The case was dismissed at Manchester magistrates

A woman from Heywood who was accused of racially abusing a taxi driver has had her case dismissed by Manchester magistrates.

On Sunday 17th March, police were called to Queensway to claims a taxi driver's passengers referred to the attacks in Christchurch while threatening and abusing him.

34-year old Natalie Rudman had been charged with racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress. 

The case against her was dismissed by Manchester Magistrates.

33 year-old Sean Allen from Collyhurst, has been ordered to pay £100 compensation to his victim plus £320 in court costs, and to serve a community order with a six-week curfew.

He must also pay an £85 victim surcharge.

The incident took place in Rochdale days after 50 people were killed in two mosque attacks in New Zealand.
