Tributes are being paid to a motorbike racing driver, who used to teach at a school in Oldham, after he died at a race over the weekend.
Chris Swallow, who was 37, died after a crash during the Senior Classic TT race on the Isle of Man on Saturday.
He was described as an experienced rider but was involved in a serious crash at the Ballaugh Bridge section of the course.
Mr Swallow worked as a PE teacher at Blue Coat School in Oldham, years ago.
He then emigrated to New Zealand to pursue a career in motorbike racing.
Both the school and former pupils have paid tribute to him.
Swallow made his debut in the 2007 Manx Grand Prix and was a regular competitor in the Classic TT races.
He earned two runner-up places in the 2012 Classic Manx GP and was fourth in last year's Senior Classic TT race.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club paid tribute saying; "The club wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Chris's family including his father Bill and his wife Jen and children."
